What would happen if you put Regular Gas in an Acura MDX?

The manual requires you to put premium gas, but is it fine if you use regular gas? What difference does it make? This is an 2007 Acura MDX.|||The vehicle's engine control module (computer) will change engine's timing and essentially "detune" the engine so that it doesn't knock or ping. The result will be loss of power, efficiency and fuel economy. Using a lower grade of fuel in an engine designed for premium fuel may, in fact, cost you more than what you save at the pump because you will be getting fewer miles per gallon. Use what the manufacturer says to keep mileage and efficiency at their optimal levels.|||premium gasoline burns hotter than regular. if your engine requires a hotter burning fuel you need 93+ octane gasoline. id never use anything less than 93 in any car. keeps the engine so much cleaner.|||suggestion: go to the benefits of premium gas website and look at the different articles. You will be surprised with what you read. There are NONE|||You could get away with using regular, but you will lower horsepower and MPG which will end up costing you more money in the end since you have to fill up more often.
