Will the 2008 Acura MDX require premium fuel?

My wife really wants the Acura MDX, but she will not purchase a car that requires premium fuel. Before we go and buy a Maxda CX-9, does anyone know if Acura plans on changing the premium fuel requirement in the '08 MDX to regular gas?|||It requires premium fuel, this will not change because this is a new model|||All Acura's require premium fuel...(it's Mazda and if you think Mazda's are all that great. I can tell you my husband drives a LOT of cars, because he travels and only the Mazda 6, was one of his favorites...and yes he has driven almost every SUV on the market, except for Lexus...last week it was the new Ford...he said he'd never heard such a nasty, tinny engine in his life....hahahahahahaha...well geez...he drives a TSX and he expects all cars/suvs/trucks to sound like an Acura ??? )|||No plans for Acura to change the requirement. It is basically the same vehicle as the 2007, which was just redesigned.

Ok, let's think about this logically...you are buying a $40,000+ vehicle but won't buy it if it requires premium fuel?

If you can afford a $40,000+ vehicle, pay the extra $3 a week for the premium. Get what you want. You will kick yourself if you are comparing the CX-9 to the MDX and expect the same satisfaction.

If you really are dead set against it, look at the Honda Pilot. Although it is a little less attractive in and out, it is much cheaper, on the same platform, and does not require premium.|||Good grief people its 20 freaking cents!!!! Most cars now that are new run on premium fuel, get used to it. Its not going to change. And yes putting regular unleade DOES hurt the combustion chamber of a engine that requires premium. The fuel combustion temp is set by the octane rating.
