Is it possible to install the navigation system in a 2007 Acura MDX after it is bought without it?

Is it possible to purchase the navigation system and have it installed after the fact?|||Anything is possible with a lot of money and modification, but it's more logical to buy a Garmin portable GPS unit. http://www.garmin.com/garmin/cms/site/us|||Not as a practical matter. Because of the way that the nav system is integrated into the vehicle it would be extremely expensive to install the factory system in one that was not equipped with it originally. The steering wheel switchgear and its associated wiring, the dashboard assembly, stereo head unit and wiring harnesses would all have to be replaced as well as installing the DVD control unit.

There are after-market head units that can be fitted that include navigation systems. Or you could simply buy a portable unit for less than $200 and use it in ANY vehicle and take it with you when you travel. You can get an ultra high end portable unit with North American and European maps pre-installed for less than $1,000.|||i keep a garmin navigator in my new 2010 Nissan. just plugs in and with your help and information it can take me anywhere I TELL IT TO TAKE ME. takes a little bit of learning how to use it. i paid only $100.00 for the one i got. there are many models and prices, i choice the one that fits my needs. mine is a 205w and speaks instructions. there are other cheap ones but my research showed this one to be the best for the price at the time i bought it.|||You will be better off buying a Garmin for $300 that will have more features then the OEM unit.
