Can the navigation system in a 2004 Acura MDX play DVDs?

As in movies? Because I see there is a DVD player below the passengers seat that contains the Navigation System Software.|||No, you can only play DVD-A (audio) discs on through it. It is illegal to have a screen that plays movies or T.V. in front of passenger's/driver's seat.|||No, not on its own but you could add on a NavTV video converter and a stand alone DVD player or video game console and that would work. They work great, I've installed a few of these into several vehicles before. Allows you to connect a back up camera, DVD player, TV tuner, video game console, or pretty much anything else you want to your factory screen without changing the factory appearance.|||i dont think it can. i think thats just where they stick in the navigation disc so that you can use the navigation or upgrade when you can. best way to have dvd playing is to get an aftermarket indash. good luck with it.
