Can anyone tell me what kind of gas is good for acura mdx?general or premium?

i am planning to buy acura mdx but i just came to know that only premium gas should be used for it?is it true|||Putting regular unleaded hurts the combustion chamber of a engine that requires premium. The fuel combustion temp is set by the octane rating. I think you should use premium only|||If the engine requires premium, it requires premium.

Seems pretty straightforward. If it could take lower grades of fuel, it would say so.....

So...what's the question?

Edit: So who do you choose to trust? The people who BUILT the car, or the unintelligent owners of it?

Listen to the manual, ignore what the other owners say.|||Go to Acura's web sight and look up the model. There will be fuel requirements listed by the manufacture.|||You could put lower grade in it, but it wouldn't like it.

Which is pretty blatantly why it says "premium only".....|||What does the owners manual say.|||Putting regular instead of high test will result in slightly less performance and mileage. In the end, you won't save any money.|||You could technically put in any grade of gasoline in it....but performance will suffer.

My Acura salesman said this to me, "You don't have to use premium, but you paid for 300 HP, and you won't get that with anything other than premium."|||It requires premium gas because it has a high compression engine for lots of power.

Midgrade would work for a short while, until the engine breaks down.
