l love the 2002 Acura mdx I know acuras are suppose to be reliable cars|||In general they are good vehicles. However, This model is prone to have transmission failure. Oddly enough Honda Motor Corp., has a Technical Sevice Bulletin to replace the transmissions on every Honda and Acura vehicle with the H5 automatic transmission except the MDX. If yours goes out, it's money out of your pocket. On the other hand, I know alot of people with these SUVs and only a few have had any problems with the transmissions.|||yes,
